It's time for a new Mini Catalogue, and for celebrating the next Sale-A-Bration! One of the stamp sets you can earn for FREE is this clever "Thanks A Bunch" carrot themed set. It has great images for creating bundles of carrots in several sizes, and a collection of clever sentiments for different occasions.
I had a lot of fun creating my sample card for you today. I started by stamping the large carrot images in Pumpkin Pie ink on Crushed Curry Cardstock, followed by the lined overlay image in Soft Suede Ink. Then I stamped the leafy bundles in Pear Pizazz Ink on Pear Pizazz Cardstock. I fussy cut all of these and glued them together to create my individual carrots.
Next I took a Thick Basic White card base and applied some Balmy Blue ink around the centre area using a Blending Brush. Then I splattered some Basic Black Ink from a marker around the blue area. I added some of the grassy greens directly to the card front using Pear Pizazz ink where the tops of my carrots would line up. I wanted to add some fuller dimension and different texture to the greens of the carrot bundle.
Next I layered and glued three of my fussy-cut carrots directly to the card front, and added the fourth one on Dimensionals to add some depth. I stamped the sentiment on Starry Sky Cardstock using Versamark Ink and White Heat Embossing Powder and layered it on Dimensionals over the bundle of carrots. To add a little bling I added some of the orange Holiday Rhinestones here and there. Done!
