Sunshine Fun With June Paper Pumpkin
The June Paper Pumpkin; "Box Full of Sunshine" is an absolute delight. I haven't had time yet to fill my decorated box up with yellow treats and gifts for someone special, but I did make some cards. The card designs this month are gorgeous right out of the box - so I didn't fuss or make any real changes and put together one of each as shown.
But then I decided I would g out on my own and see what I could come up with. My process is simple - cut up all the card bases into various pieces of different sizes, making sure I get several options from each piece - not just all half sheets. Then I punch out all the remaining die cuts and extras and spread those out. Next I grab 3 sheets of coordinating coloured paper along with a sheet of thick Whisper White and Basic Black. I make card bases out of all of these in all four standing formats wide and tall.
Then I just start layering things to see what I get. My style is clean and no-fuss, so the first card was a no brainer - a simple lemon up on dimensionals on a plain white background. As an afterthought I should have embossed that white with the subtle embossing folder, but I still have 6 lemons left over, so guess what - there will be 6 more of that card shortly..... And so I continued, layering and cutting and trimming various pieces. A pop of white or black here and there, some gold embossing, a little brayering, and voila - I think I'm up to 15 plus cards so far and more to go - all from the one kit. Just think - If I had cut up the other 4 cards as well....
