It's time once again for the monthly Gentlemen Crafters Design Team Blog Hop. The Gentlemen Crafters Design Team (#TGCDT) are a group of male crafters & Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators from around the world, that love to share our creative side with you on the 2nd Friday of each month. Be sure to visit all the presenters in this month's hop - links can be found at the bottom of this post.
I am absolutely taken with the new Butterfly Bijou Designer Series Paper - the whole butterfly suite is just gorgeous in fact, but I know that you don't have to break the bank all at once to create beautiful projects. I decided to limit myself to just the designer paper for this blog hop, and what I ended up with I am quite happy with.
This paper makes it soooooo easy to create. First I fussy cut some of the larger butterflies from one sheet of the paper. Then I looked at the remaining patterns and I chose two with smaller butterflies in the background and I chose coordinating card stock in Magenta Madness and Misty Moonlight. I LOVE white card bases - they let the colours and brightness of the paper be the focus - so I layered my designer paper and cardstock up on my white card bases. A couple of the fussy cut images and a small sentiment tag courtesy of the Punch Party stamp set and the postage stamp punch were all that was needed to round out these cards.
I may go back and add some rhinestones or Wink of Stella, but I like the clean simple look of these cards. With 10 more sides the paper to try out, I have a whole host of possibilities not yet explored. Take my advise and order a pack or two of this special paper while you can - remember it's gone forever when it's old out, and that won't be very long.
