Star Wars has always been a favourite of mine, and many of my family and friends as well. My nephew's birthday is coming up this weekend and he is a big fan, so I decided to make him a very special card. I'm using the very popular "explosion box" card layout. These little boxes allow for lots of interaction and 3D effect, while folding flat for envelope mailing.
I have a
full tutorial in my paid tutorials section with all the measurements and instructions for making explosion box cards. They are not complicated and can be made for pretty well any theme and from any stamp set, etc.
For this Star Wars themed card I used black and grey card stock, and I easily found a FREE image file online with all the little characters. I printed them on Thick White cardstock using my printer and fussy cut them out to apply to the card. Some are up on dimensionals, some are flat. I covered all the flaps, all 4 sides of the box, the back panel and still had characters to put inside - the whole gang is here.
