TGCDT - April Blog Hop - Fields of Tulips & Windmills
Welcome friends, It's time once again for the monthly Gentlemen Crafters Design Team Blog Hop. The Gentlemen Crafters Design Team (#TGCDT) are a group of male crafters & Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators from around the world, that love to share our creative side with you on the 2nd Friday of each month. I absolutely love the bright vibrant colours in the Flowering Fields Designer Series Paper. You almost don't need anything else to make beautiful cards, but the two stamp sets and coordinating dies have some beautiful and fun images and sentiments that add just that extra touch to your crafting.
In this case I used two different pieces of the Designer Paper - one for the fields of colourful tulips, and one that instantly created a moody sky background, without having to do any blending or colouring. Then I added the stamped and coloured image of the windmill from the stamp set Tulip Fields, and a couple die cut fence pieces from the Windmill Fields Dies. Lastly I did bring in a sentiment from the other stamp set in this suite; Flowering Tulips, as there are none in Tulip Fields, but you could make this card for any occasion with any sentiment stamps. I used a plain white card base to make the beautiful colours pop and stand out.
