Welcome friends, It's time once again for the monthly Gentlemen Crafters Design Team Blog Hop. The Gentlemen Crafters Design Team (#TGCDT) are a group of male crafters & Independent Stampin’ Up! If you're looking for a quick and no-fuss way to make great cards for the men in your life, look no further than the He's The Man suite of products in the new Annual Catalogue on pages 78-79. In Fact, my post today shows you how you can get 40+ different fun cards just by mixing and matching the rich background textures and die-cuts from the Designer Series Paper Pack alone!
Yes, you read that right - die-cuts. Stampin' Up! has blown this product design right out of the park by including two full sheets of colourful die-cuts in the paper pack. There are all kinds of fun themed images great for celebrating all kinds of accomplishments and occasions.
SUPER EASY CARDS
I took card bases in the coordinating colours of Soft Succulent, Sahara Sand, Early Espresso,
Black and Cajun Craze, and then just layered them with 4" x 5-1/4" pieces of the various textures in the DSP. Then I cut strips of various widths and layered those over top. Sometimes I added mattes of card stock behind them to give a thin border of contrast. Next I added on the fantastic die cuts, some ribbon and rhinestones, and before I knew it I had a dozen cards, and I had only barely cut into the paper pack. It is easy to get at least 40 cards from this DSP pack alone.
I did add in a little man figure from a recently retired stamp set - "Senior Years" for some added fun.... but as you can see, there are images and sentiments galore already included. I used an assortment of different sentiment stamp sets on the inside of my cards to make them for Birthday, Congratulations, Father's Day, etc. The die-cut sentiments from the paper are great and just non-specific enough, that you can make them for whatever purpose you want.
