One of my favourite things about Spring/Summer in Nova Scotia is the sound of the "peepers" - tiny little frogs that live in ditches, ponds, marshes and any wet spaces they can find. These little creatures gather by the hundreds and sing their little hearts out all night long from early May, through to late October. You can here them here.
Host stamp sets are often missed in the catalogue, so when I saw this one, I knew I had to have it and make some cards with it. The card design I am showing is a really fun one that I learned at a Mystery Card event just tonight with a group of friends. The original "Flip Top Fancy Fold" comes from Lyssa Zwolanek, and can be done with just about any stamp set, DSP or colour palate. The clever front lift-flap provides a second front layer to your card, and a special way to have a second greeting or focal point image - you can tell a story in several steps. Lifting it up out of the way reveals a standard opening card. This from one single sheet of card stock - no gluing of pieces necessary.
