TGCDT May 2020 Blog Hop - Coffee & Cookies Treat Box

coffee 2

I wanted to do something a little different this month in light of most of us being sequestered at home away from all our friends.  We are all eagerly awaiting the moment we can get together for a coffee and a sweet treat, and that time will come.... but for now, why not send your closest friends and family a "sweet" little box to lift their spirits.

Please note I made a mistake in my lid measurements in the video - the piece of DSP is cut at 6" x 6" to start - NOT 6.25" - see the measurements below the video.

Important Measurements
  • - Box Base: Cardstock 8.25" x 8.25"  /  21cm x 21cm
    • - scored on all four sides at 2"  /  5.1cm
  • - Box Top: DSP or cardstock of your choice 6" x 6"  /  15.2cm x 15.2cm
    •  - scored on all four sides at 7/8"  /  2.2cm
  • - Dividers:
    • - trim to 8.5" x 8.25"  -  21.6cm x 21cm
    • - score along the shorter side at 2-1/8"  4-1/8"  6-1/8"  /  5.1cm  10.5cm  15.6cm
    • - cut along the longer side at  4-1/4"  /  10.8cm
    • - then cut one of those halves in half again at 2-1/8"  /  5.4cm

Thank you for the great video and idea. Will definitely share with my club. Good way to give Tim’s to a friend during Covid-19.

This classy little box is fantastic. Such a great use of the foil paper and a wonderful thing to do. I have enjoyed each craft that the TGCT have posted. I just stumbled onto the Hop and hope you can recruit a few more guys to participate. Thanks for sharing your crafting ideas with us.

Thank you Felicia - I'm so glad you enjoy what we do. Three of the guys were off this month for different reasons, but hope to be back for June's hop.

I am so glad I accidentally found you. I hope that it is okay that I CASE your pattern and reproduce this box. I loved to hear a mans voice on the video. My daughter came into the room and said there are men in this business LOL oh yes honey and they are so talented. Thank you. Janice.

These are the best gift boxes! I can't stop making them and the best thing is, all the old DSP that I thought was ugly for a card, looks great as a box top! Thanks for this project!!
