Don't put your cactus in a drawer!
Let me start off this blog post by saying that if one is going to "tuck something away for safe-keeping", or to "bring out at another time when you can share it and create with a friend".... one should not do that at the beginning of a pandemic lockdown because it will stay in the drawer for a long time and then get totally forgotten.....
Revisiting Sail Away with Mountain Air
Growing up where a 20-30 minute drive in any direction brings you to the shores of the Atlantic Ocean and Bay of Fundy with the world's highest tides, and now Living on the South Shore of Nova Scotia just 20 minutes away from iconic Peggy's Cove, lighthouses marinas, sailboats and marine life are just a part of day to day life for me.
So of course when I saw the Sail Away suite in the catalogue, I HAD to have it - and I'm so glad it has carried over several times. I have showcased this suite a number of times, but inspiration struck when I saw other demos using it in conjunction with the Mountain Air stamp set - another I am happy carried over, and the soon to be released Polar Bear stamp set. As we looked through photos online, Sue and I worked up some ideas and set about playing with different techniques to reproduce what we saw.
